People usually think about Hanga, which should be printed on paper, and be put in a frame.
However, Hanga put in a frame is, to tell the truth, not glad with this situation,
as he feels like a bird in a cage.
The glass, assumedly not knowing about this, obstructs people who try to talk directly with Hanga.

Hanga always sits behind the glass.
Today Hanga stands for a moment on the glass.

The two images of the two plates used for making a print were printed on paper with black ink separately,
and further I prepared one more image where I filled in a title, my signature, and an edition number.

These three images are printed on the glass by silkscreen with ink for glass.
Next, the glass is sunk in a mould, and put in an oven.
I asked glass artist Maria Donker to do this process for me, because I had no experience with working with glas.

Glass is a very delicate, attractive material.
Hanga who could stand on the glass shows a joyful expression that differs from usual,
as a bird that fled from its cage.

I also feel happy with this first experience.
